GPS Location

Module Overview

The GPS Location module provides a complete solution for real-time vehicle tracking, trip log management, area management, and automatic notifications. The system uses Teltonika GPS units for accurate recording of positions, routes, and vehicle driving parameters.

Main Uses

• Tracking current position of company vehicles
• Automatic recording of business and private trips
• Calculation of driving costs and fuel consumption
• Monitoring entries and exits from defined areas
• Generating reports for travel orders and accounting

Prerequisites

• User permissions: Module access must be granted by administrator (minimum level 1)
• Hardware: Vehicle must be equipped with Teltonika GPS unit (FMXXXX, FMB640, FMB020)
• Configuration: GPS unit must be registered and activated in system
• Module integration: Vehicles (Evoz), Users, Travel Orders

User Permission Levels

Level 0 - No access

User cannot access GPS Location module.

Level 1 - Own trips

User sees only trips where they are recorded as driver.

• View own trips in trip log
• View own routes on map
• Export own trips to Excel

Level 5 - Selected vehicles

User sees trips of selected vehicles regardless of driver. Vehicles selected by administrator.

Level 7 - All vehicles

User sees all trips of all vehicles in system.

Additional Permissions

• Export trip log: Export trip log to Excel format
• Export with per diems: Export including meal allowance calculations
• Area and monitoring settings: Create areas and set notifications
• Change trip type: Switch between business and private trip
• Change driver: Modify assigned driver for trip

Module Structure

• Vehicles (Map): Real-time vehicle position display
• Trip Logs: Record of all trips with detailed information
• Calendar: Trip visualization on calendar
• Tools: Areas, monitoring, corrections and settings
• Settings: Module configuration, permissions and vehicles (admins only)

Map Controls

• Zoom: Use mouse wheel or +/- buttons
• Pan: Click and drag
• Center: Click vehicle icon to center
• Auto-refresh: Enable checkbox for automatic updates every minute

Vehicle Details

Click vehicle icon to see:

• Vehicle name and license plate
• Current address
• Last update time
• Current speed
• Engine status (on/off)
• Driver name (if identified via iButton)
• Battery voltage

Trip Log

View all trips with start/end locations, distance, duration, driver, and trip type (business/private).

Areas and Geofencing

Create geographic areas (circles or polygons) and receive notifications when vehicles enter or leave these areas.

Tips

• Set up areas for important locations (office, warehouse, customers)
• Use trip type separation for accurate business expense tracking
• Export trip logs for travel expense reporting
• Monitor fuel consumption to identify inefficient driving
